Why Do We Use Foul Language?

Have you ever asked yourself this question? Were you mad, sad, or maybe even happy? Did it ever occur to you that cursing shortens your days on this earth? Doesn't make sense does it? Well, you're a believer right? You love God. Serve him. Read your Word as much as you can. . .right? Well, either you know it or not, there are consequences of foul language. Now, I'm not gathering up this information from random thoughts. This is scripture. . .Word from our creator. Jame 3:6 state how bad language can speak nothing but wickedness into your life. It can also corrupt your entire body. Sounds crazy? Here is the evidence. "And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself." Now you must ask yourself, what is the point of cursing? Are you using it to hurt someones feelings or to fit in? And again, " And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!" James 3:10. Colossians 4:6 reads, "Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone." With this being said, I, with no doubt, believe that foul language is a sign of death. First, you can destroy yourself and people around you. Make the choice today to use positive language, so not only you can prosper but you can speak wonderful things into the lives of other people.

Pray it. Post it. Change it.
Cursing does not proceed out of my mouth. Today, I give God FULL charge of my tongue. By his grace I will only speak words that will bring honor to His name.
